Slowly, slowly, deeper and deeper

Oh dang....Surprise surprise people. Proton is slowly going down the drain once more. Look I'm not too happy about it k? As a car enthusiasts I would like nothing more than our national car maker earning some moolah to show that not all GLCs are useless. Even TNB and MAS are posting a profit therefore what excuse is it for Proton to be so in-debt and useless that nothing seems to be coming out of it? I'm no financial whizkid but looking at the statistics here we seem to find that our national car maker is slowly draining our tax dollars despite government bailouts over the years that Proton has been in existence. When LKY initiated the formation of SIA donkey years ago, the essence of what he told them was that they (SIA) must either be able to survive on its own or you can be another corporate corpse littering the Singapore landscape.

The point is if our own GLCs are not performing at all why bother? Mitsubishi screwed all of us Malaysians when it was found that they themselves hid defects from customers over the past 20 years while manufacturing Mitsubishi cars. I think that the gwailo folks at Lotus are probably too ashamed to be associated with Proton that's why you don't see so many of them hanging around TPM. Come to think about it, is Lotus still at TPM?

It takes an Angmoh or gwailo to usually turn the company around. Look at what Carlos Ghosn has done for Nissan. And the sad fact is, Proton rather be taken over by a gwailo rather than a Malaysian Chinese or a Malaysian Indian due to their stupid pride in making sure that only "Bumiputras" are in the top position. Mr PM look around you and asked yourself honestly. Everything planned and executed successfully are the results of the Chinese-Indian communities, or any of your cronies?

Young ones like us have no mood or hope to be in Malaysia anymore. If GLCs are to be run using meritocracy as it's key-performance index, we will be the envy of every developing and developed nation in the world. Otherwise we are merely screwing ourselves and we can forget about being developed by the year 2020. I think Dr. M would rather kick the bucket than to see what will happen in the year 2020.

Why?

I'm tired. Tired of fighting with myself. Tired of fighting with my own demons. What have I accomplished over these past 4 years? Absolutely nothing. I just wish that i can fade away like a shadow in the dark. My hatred has burned into me so much that I feel absolutely incompetent. What milestones do I have in my life? My anger has worn me out, my greed has cost me my dignity and integrity, my selfishness caused pain to those who truly love me and care for me. I'm so emotionally attach to things and people that don't give a damm of who I am and I failed to see those who really care for me.

Just wishing I could turn back the clock, and see things that really matter to me.

WTF?

Current uniform not appropriate for our Msian culture so says one bloody sandbag. Check it out over here. Anyhoooo what is considered appropriate anyway? A tight-fitting kebaya that shows all the curves of a lady's body with traditional Malay-batik prints on them? I consider the kebaya a very flattering outfit considering that if we think about it, it was damm popular during our parent's time and nobody made a noise about it during those days. As we hit the 22nd century it's become the norm for extremist and hypocrites to make noise all about how women should dress, why they should be raped and all the normal nonsense you expect from our ruling party. Don't blame it on the ladies you stupid f**king politicians. If your dick insists on jumping out of your zipper everytime you see a lady trying to feel good about herself, screw yourself, f**k goats as we see in the papers and stop blaming everything on the ladies.

I'm no sexist but it really pisses me off every time politicians make a big hoo-ha over things that don't concern them in a bigger picture. AirAsia has made me especially a non-bumiputra Msian to be proud off. Anthony Francis Fernandes bought the whole company from money-losing DRB-HICOM for USD 26 cents and turn it to one of Malaysia's biggest achievement by a non-bumiputra. Call me a racist if you want, but most bumiputra businesses in this country won't be able to produce shit if the government haven't given them anything to start off with. The 80/20 rule applies here as well, as we can see that the government has given these bumiputra companies 80% of the help in terms of finance, licensing etc etc. but they only produce 20% of the overall results. So WTF?

As a Malaysian of a mix-marriage parentage, Malaysia is pretty ok when it come to living and staying here. But the whole lot of politicians can screw themselves if they think that this country only belongs to a particular race. Politicians in this country love to play the race-religion card, but they don't realise people don't look at religion, they look at the race. My egyptian and iranian friends are Muslims, but they don't respect the so-called bumiputra people here. They know that whoever controls the economy controls the country. They also know that rules and regulations in this country is not really conducive for a non-bumiputra to start a business with, but we still play by the rules and we can still earn a living here. The NEP is the biggest crutch in any society or race. You want to destroy a race? Just give them money. See what they will do to themselves in the long run. Soon we will probably have politicians playing the race card again, at nazi-like rhetorics will come into play again. The rest is history...go figure.

Gong Xi Fa Chai

I know it's kinda late but to all my chinese friends, I would like to wish you all a Happy CNY and may the year of the Boar/Pig/Porkie/Bacon/Ham/German Frankfurt/Bak Kut Teh/Bacon be a fruitful one for u for the rest of the year. Don't be greedy to ask for angpows and don't be too stingy to give angpows. Always remember that people in Africa are forever starving and when you gorge on your chinese food, remember that the yee sang is always fake, and any deep-fried meat that they serve for your dinner is full of oil, sugar, salt, flour and probably rat meat that they caught at the back of the lorong and season with Ajinomoto. Remember what I've advised and you will be fine for chinese new year.

Happy New Year once again and may PRDM (Polis Raja Di Malaysia) be not able to catch anyone playing fireworks/selling porn/catching innocent aunties and uncles playing mahjong and shaving their heads off for the rest of the new year.

Blood Diamonds

Blood Diamonds is one of those rare movies that can really touch a raw nerve in today's materialistic world today. Just as Bush's farced reasons for invading the whole Middle-east today, Blood Diamonds tells the story of an unlikely friendship between a diamond-smuggler (Linado DiCappucino), a torn father (Djimon Hounsou) and your typical white-girl reporter (Jeniffer Connelly) that were brought together by a pink diamond. The crux of the story is not merely about finding a diamond and bringing back a family together, but rather it gives us a bird's eye view of what blood diamonds are all about. Blood diamonds fuel a bloody conflict back in the late 90's with several factions trying to control Sierra Leone. The war was fueled by a trade in illegal diamonds that gave arms and contrabands on all sides of the war that nearly torn the country apart. Emotionally gripping and touching, Blood Diamonds has one or two humourous moments that will make you chuckle if you pay attention to the movie. All in all Blood Diamonds is just one of the rare ones that make you want to watch it all over and over again.

Juz another Day

Just a normal day like everyday. Went out with hanson to discuss about our insurance stuff. After that went to Low Yatt and hunt for a new laptop. He was considering either the Asus, HP or Lenovo models. All have very nice specs and pricing but IMHO I feel that the HP was the best buy in terms of performance, pricing, looks and also durability. Some readers may be tempted to ask me why not Lenovo, but I could honestly say that the durability and built of that model didn't really impress me. Besides the screen for the HP model was nice, bright and clear. Sound was good it came with Vista pre-installed.

Vista was doing their official launch today and it was pretty interesting. I wasn't too impress with the exhibitions though cuz it looked pretty lame and it whatever we wanted to see or do can be done at other times. Not much eye-candy there also.

Got back around 4++ and currently resting at home and crapping around in my blog.
